Planning for your big day has been a
dream affair for women all around the world since ages. And when the wedding
involves some of the big names from the Entertainment industry, it has to be a
lavish affair. Yes, we are talking about the bridal story of the Bollywood girl with dimples: Preity
Zinta with Gene Goodenough. Every bit of the wedding extravaganza breathed fashion but what got us awe-struck was her
stunning bridal lehenga from the Manish Malhotra label. Speechless!
Preity Zinta roped in her designer
friend Manish Malhotra to design her lehenga for the wedding. Her bright red
lehenga had a beautiful display of embroidered baraat
that was a true symbol of Indian culture. She accessorized her look with jadau
jewelry and borla that added a Rajasthani
touch to her entire ensemble. She aesthetically adorned herself in traditional mathapatti and studded maang tikka and she
breathed loyalty with such ease.
Groom dressed simply
The wedding ceremony took place in
a traditional Hindu style with a pandit performing all the enchanting rituals. Pheras took place in an outdoor sitting under
the dazzling LA skyline and there could have been no better way for the lovely
couple to tie the knot. Preity made for a charming bride and was adored by the
westerners as much as she was by her native associates.
Next, in the bridal story was a
lavish reception in Mumbai hosted by the couple in the month of April to
celebrate the occasion with the bride’s close pals from the film industry. The
party was themed in a completely big fat Rajput-style and Bollywood icons like
Salman Khan and his brothers, Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and several
others came in to celebrate the precious moments of the bride and the groom.
Talented celebrity stylist Tanya
Ghavri was accredited to style the bride for her special moments. She made sure
to give an elegant look to her gown without making it too much over the top.
Preity was every bride’s inspiration with subtle makeup and hair and red lips
totally did wonders to her glamorous look. The bright red chura added to Preity bridal look as it is the epitome of the beautiful Indian bride with
a classic touch of elegance.
