The couple was engaged in a gathering happened earlier in October 2016. The marriage was followed by a grand reception.

The bride Sakshi Malik looked gorgeous in the attire on her big day. She wore a bright red lehenga. There was golden zari work on the lehenga. It is paired with a short choli made by velvet and decorated with zari. The design sprawling all over the choli looked very beautiful. She donned matching net dupatta to complete the bridal attire.
She paired her outfit with a single gold bridal set and red bangles. Sakshi wore the traditional kaleeres. The light maang tika was very noticeable.

Satyawart's outfit at the wedding and the reception
The bridegroom Satyawart wore a traditional gray sherwani& a cream color dhoti for the wedding day. It was teamed with a cream shade stole. The stole had pearls on it. He donned the traditional turban, named Pagdi.
The bridegroom wore a black suit at his reception.

The marriage function was a grand affair. A huge list of guests was invited to attend the wedding ceremony. Apart from the family members & close relatives, many renowned celebrities from sports fraternity were spotted at the wedding.
Geeta and Babita Phogat, along with their family were seen. PV Sindhu, the Olympic winner in badminton and Two times wrestling champion Sushil Kumar was present. Sushil Kumar was seen meeting and greeting his fans along with guests.
