The Half Saree function or Ritu Kala Samskara ceremony is carried out to symbolize the passage of a girl into womanhood. Marked by her menarche, the girl wears a saree for the first time that makes her a young lady, both spiritually and physically.
Recently, Mahesh Babu's niece, Jahnavi's, rite of passage was celebrated through a half saree function. Belonging to a lineage of great actors and stars of Tollywood, the event was celebrated in a grand fashion.
Superstar Krishna, who is the father of Mahesh Babu and his sister Manjula, arranged the massive affair. Manjula, who also had a brief career in Tollywood, is now married to Sanjay Swaroop.
Jahnavi is the niece of Mahesh Babu and the daughter of Sanjay and Manjula.
The venue was decorated with fresh and blooming white flowers and everyone was dressed in their traditional attires. Only Mahesh Babu was in a plain white shirt and jeans.
A priest was present to carry out the ceremonial necessities. Jahnvi looked pretty in an orange and blue ethnic ensemble and was decked up in heavy jewelry.
Krishna presented Jahnavi with a beautiful yellow and green saree. Everyone was smiling at the event and it concluded happily.
