The sixth South Indian International Movie Awards ceremony also known as SIIMA Awards was organized on 30 June and 1 July 2017. Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Park at Abu Dhabi hosted this prestigious award function. Sun TV network covered the complete telecast of the award event. The best films and performers were given the awards along with the special honors for lifetime contributions.
Sivakarthikeyan Remo bagged the award for best Tamil actor. The award for best Telugu actor was given to NTR Jr. –Janatha Garage. The nominations for the awards were announced in the month of June.
