Opulent Bollywood Wedding of Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka Alva

Bollywood weddings are adorable. Hindi film actor Vivek Oberoi wedded Priyanka Alva, daughter of Karnataka political pioneer Jeevraj Alva and was a treat to attend. The wedding, both in Karnataka and Punjabi style, occurred at the sprawling ranch place of Alvas in North Bangalore.

The 28-year-old Priyanka pursued Business Management from Britain.

The pre-wedding functions started on 28th and proceeded to main event’s day when the 'barat' reached Alva's house.

The droning of heavenly verses, delicate shehnai music, and fragrant incense welcomed visitors at the Alva farmhouse, where Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi got married to Priyanka Alva on October 29, 2010.

The wedding day initiated with formal requests to bless the couple, trailed by a haldi function.

"The haldi service started with spreading of Vermillion on Priyanka as it is thought to be propitious," said one of the visitors.

The previous day, Sangeet evening the couple’s dear friends and relatives move to the tunes of foot-tapping Bollywood numbers. Adding to the joyous state of mind, the couple and their folks moved to the music, joined by relatives and friends.

Celebrated companion and presumed drummer Shivamani belted out some throbbing music in Sangeet evening.

The day-long ceremonies include the `Chura ceremony` and `sehra bandhi` (tying of the groom’s turban). Vivek touch base with the baraat with regards to the conventional North Indian wedding customs.

Vivek wore a customary maroon sherwani enhanced with regal symbolism as his bride’s lehenga. He added a conventional sword to his appearance, looking just the perfect groom stepped out of a Bollywood film.

Priyanka, the bride relied upon to wear a uniquely designed Tarun Tahiliani maroon lehenga with 14 distinct hues on the boards and peacock themes.

The clothing has been uniquely intended to give the lady of the hour a chance to flaunt her impeccable henna-planned hands.

This royal-themed grand wedding will also be remembered for the ostentatious decoration. The flowers used to decorate wedding mandap were imported from Czechoslovakia and Italy; 25,000 Swarovski crystals and exclusive flowers spoke a lot with traditional rangoli.

The wedding feast incorporated flavors from the North, beach front specialties, a mix of worldwide food and a variety of sweet dishes, including conventional drain based treats and brilliant sweetmeats.
The customs are relied upon to finish with the jaymala (trade of festoons) and saat pheras (seven rounds of the blessed fire), late into the night.

The wedding would strengthen the bond between the Alvas and the Oberois, who have been family companions for a considerable length of time.

The wedding reception held in Mumbai on October 31 was attended by numerous famous names from Bollywood and politics.

For the reception, the couple chose velvet fabric for their outfits. Vivek looks dapper in black embroidered long jacket, matching trouser and black shoe with a hint of green to match the green and blue outfit of the bride.

Priyanka combined lehenga with the sparkle of diamonds in her beautiful choker, long earrings, and maang tikka.

The affluent wedding of Vivek and Priyanka is a delight to even read about!
