The beautiful former Miss Asia Pacific and the ‘Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein’ girl, Dia Mirza sealed a wedding deal with Director, Producer Sahil Sanga. The story of the adorable way her fiancé proposed to her marked the onset of a cute and memorable wedding tale. Sahil Sangha, now a successful movie producer, got down on his knees and popped the question to Dia Mirza in the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York that left the crowd cheering up the couple and left Dia awe-struck.

Dia Mirza hails from Hyderabad, the city of Nizam with a German father and a Bengali mother. She takes her name from her stepfather Ahmed Mirza. The groom, on the other hand, comes from a completely different set of ethnicity and is a Sikh born and raised in Delhi. Needless to say, their wedding was a mix of both the cultures and was every bit of a massive celebration.
The wedding took place in a simple affair in accordance with the Hindu Arya Samaj rituals and traditions. The venue for the wedding and all the pre-wedding celebrations was a farmhouse on the outskirts of Delhi and was attended by family members and close friends of the couple.
Sahil too looked dashing in a white achkan and turban designed by Raghavendra Rathore and was a perfect epitome of a Punjabi groom, thanks to his good looks and physique.

Mehendi ceremony
The mehndi ceremony took place a day prior and Dia was seen wearing a bright yellow floor touching Anarkali suit and looked ravishing on her. Going by the trends, she complemented her look with beautiful floral jewelry like floral jhumkas, accessories to style her braid and maang tikka. Her suit was adorned and styled with a fuchsia dupatta marked with beautiful motifs and gota patti work. She chose ace designer Ritu Kumar for her choice of mehndi outfit. The groom was seen wearing a maroon kurta pajama and Nehru jacket and breathed freshness all through the ceremony.
The unconventional couple posed with ease for the shutterbugs where Dia was seen flaunting her outfit and the beautiful mehndi design.
Music is on
The sangeet ceremony was equally lavish and the venue was decorated with rajnigandha flowers. Dia presented a beautiful dance number on ‘Aao huzoor’ for his love and looked divine and ethereal. She wore a purple and gold lehenga from Anita Dongre collection and wore Kundan jewelry.
