Bollywood lovebirds Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza had a customary Hindu Marathi wedding on Friday, 3rd February 2012, at a Mumbai five-star Hotel Grand Hyatt, which saw the glitters from B-town's A-list rundown, the political power set and the city's Page 3 wash set swung up to wish the youthful couple.
A radiating Riteish landed on horseback in the morning even as his dad, Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, drove the Baraat. The prep wore an off-white decorated sherwani, a conventional Marathi trimming known as “Mundavalya”, enhancing his brow over a red saafa (Maharashtrian turban “Petha”).
When they got knotty
Riteish Deshmukh and his lady of the hour Genelia D'Souza had a fun-filled double wedding bash.
The air was one of the stupendous festivals as a long line of Lavani artists wearing beautiful clothing introduced the baraat into the scene as conventional artists played the flute and the dhols. Genelia's mother, Jeanette, drove the welcome of the baraatis.
The Maharashtrian wedding occurred soon after twelve, once the baraatis - and all of this involved the prep's relatives, a couple of his industry amigos and political partners of Deshmukh senior had settled down.
Gone are the days when camera click photos and we had to wait long for wedding albums or DVDs; the well informed Riteish didn't sit idle, he was completely in touch with his fans and go on the web to update the heartening moments to fans: He tweeted a photo of himself and his beloved lady of the hour inscribed Mr. and Mrs. Deshmukh.
Genelia looked stunningly brilliant in a Marathi get-up and you have to trust us when we say she looked so cute, you just couldn't take your eyes off her. She wore a red paithani saree planned by Neeta Lulla, cooperated with a gorgeous nose ring and Kundan and gold jewelry.
Her Marathi look was styled by Neeta's little girl, Nishka Lulla. The buzz is that Genelia wore a pre-stitched saree for comfort.
After the Maharashtrian wedding, they had a Christian wedding too.
Riteish and Genelia’s Christian wedding was held at a Church in Bandra right on the day after the big fat Maharashtrian Wedding. The Christian ceremony was, however, a very private affair for close friends and family members only.

Celebrity player Leander Paes also attended the wedding reception of Riteish and Genelia. All the celebs didn’t disappoint desperate shutterbugs and made poses, smiled for them.
After seeing the duo smiling and posing for the paparazzi, our hearts only went, "Tere naal, tere naal, love ho gaya," because the couple was truly, truly one of the most adorable couples of the Tinseltown.
