Yuvraj Singh married his long-term girlfriend Hazel Keech n what proved to be a ceremony that was marked by both Hindu and Sikh traditions owing to different ethnicity the couple belongs to. Although the wedding was a quiet affair that primarily took place in a Gurudwara in the presence of the Singh’s family’s old guru, the reception was the most talked about. The couple hosted 2 receptions to cater to different guests list, one was held in Goa right after the wedding and the other took place in New Delhi.
The lavish reception in Delhi took place at Hotel Maurya where the hotel’s famous Nandiya Garden was well decorated to mark the venue for the occasion. The décor was subtle and romantic keeping in mind the tastes of the bride and the groom. Beautiful tea lights and white roses embellished every table at the event.
The gorgeous couple looked elegant in coordinated outfits that were an epitome of the amazing chemistry they both share. They were seen wearing outfits from the JJ Valaya’s exquisite collection of Ranas of Kachchh line of clothing. Hazel looked stunning in a blue and golden lehenga with the embellished belt that totally accentuated her ethnic look. She kept her long hair loose and styled her damsel look with long and stylish jhumkas that suited her face cut.
YuvrajSingh was no less a handsome man as he was seen wearing a red and golden sherwani and opted for a neat and tidy beard look.
The guest's list was equally selective with prominent personalities from the world of cricket and entertainment gearing up in large numbers to bless the newlywed couple. Skipper M.S Dhoni, Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan and his fiancé Sagarika Ghatge, Virender Sehwag with his wife, Saurav Ganguli with his family, Sachin Tendulkar, and other cricketers graced the occasion with their presence. Political big bees too turned up for the event including Arun Jaitley, Rahul Gandhi and BCCI President Anurag Thakur.
Like every Punjabi wedding, food was the center most attraction in this wedding reception as well and there were no stones left unturned to make sure that guests had a gala time gorging on some amazing delicacies. The extensive menu included Maurya’s iconic Dal Bukhara, shorbapurbhar, polenta crusted rice and subz milloni.
