They say, marriage bonds are made in heaven and celebrated on Mother Earth. Well, another celebrity couple tied the knot and declared their love to the world. The backbone of Indian bowling lineup, popular spinner, Harbhajan Singh found the love of his life in Bollywood actress, Geeta Basra.
After dating each other long the couple finally enter wedlock on October 29, 2015, in Jalandhar, Punjab. All the pre-wedding and wedding ceremonies and celebrations happened at Harbhajan’s hometown, Jalandhar.

The pre-wedding functions kick-started with a secret bachelorette party, mehendi ceremony and the sangeet ceremony.
The bride’s side celebrated the mehendi function at a hotel on the outskirts of Jalandhar city. The groom’ side chose to celebrate the function at their native house in Navi Baradari. Actress on her mehendi ceremony was wearing a pastel pink and lemon yellow lehenga with beautiful patchwork by Archana Kochhar.
On the other hand groom, Bhajji was dress simple in a shirt. Although the ceremony of mehendi was organized separately by both the families, Harbhajan, with few of his close friends, went to Geeta’s mehendi venue to surprise her.
Sangeet ceremony of Harbhajan and actress Geeta Basra
After a fairy tale mehendi ceremony on October 27, which was gatecrashed by Harbhajan, the couple was spotted spending time dancing with family, friends and star guests at the Sangeet ceremony. Harbhajan and actress Geeta exchanged rings and performed in Bollywood style.
Famous singer Mika Singh and Gurudas Maan were the entertainers of the Sangeet evening, and comedian/actor Gurpreet Ghuggi made a special appearance on the sangeet. Even recognized Indian cricketers were spotted on the sangeet night.
Geeta on her sangeet day dazzled in the dark green lehenga and Harbhajan on the other side was wearing a pastel pink kurta, white churidar, and a pink waistcoat.
While the couple’s pre-wedding ceremonies were truly lavish and fun-filled, they had a simple Anand Karaj ceremony at a gurudwara in Jalandhar, which was attended by their close family members and friends of the couple.
Geeta on her special day was wearing a traditional red lehenga with heavy golden embroidery which was the design by Archana Kochhar.
To complement his bride, Harbhajan chose a red and off-white sherwani. The couple on their special day was blessed by few celebrities’ guests including Sachin Tendulkar and his wife, Anjali, and Neeta and Mukesh Ambani’s son, Akash.
Reception of the newlywed Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra
The newlywed couple hosted a grand reception on November 1, 2015, for the A-listers at The Taj Palace Hotel, Delhi. According to the sources, for the reception total 1000, guests were there on the list.
PM Narendra Modi and ex-PM Manmohan Singh were also present at the reception party. Newlywed was blessed on their special occasion by the famous Indian cricket players like Virendra Sehwag, chairman of the IPL, Rajeev Shukla, Munaf Patel and Kapil Dev.
