Archana Jose Kavi, the young actress, and a host tied the knot with her childhood friend and a popular standup comedian Abish Mathew on January 23.
Archana is a popular Malayalam actress who began her career in acting with Neelathaamara in the year 2009. Abish Mathew who is known and popular for his performances as a comedian starting from the post on Instagram then to All India Bakchod and now he does the famous, Son of Abish!
Actress Archana says that her marriage was neither an arranged nor a love marriage. Her father and
Abish’s father were close friends for years and she knows Abish from the fourth grade onwards. The actress told that she never imagined getting married to her best friend and she also told that they were never in love. We believe it is a match destined to be together.
The alliance was, however, initiated by the families after a priest close to both the families suggested. Both of them were freaked out at first, but in about three to four months, they came to terms with the fact that they like each other and can get married.
The couple got engaged on 31 October in New Delhi. Actress on her engagement settled for a traditional sari. The couple decided to marry a year after the engagement.

Wedding ceremony
The wedding ceremony was on January 23 in Kochi at Ernakulam where the couple got married in a traditional low-key ceremony.
The wedding ceremony was a close affair and was attended by close friends and family members. The celebrities spotted at the wedding were Rima Kallingal, Ann Augustine, Malavika Mohan, Jomon T John, who have known Archana Kavi from the Malayalam film industry.
Archana on her big day wore a white wedding gown designed by Althea Bridal & Bespoke and on the other hand, the groom wore a blue tuxedo. Althea Bridal & Bespoke had also designed the wedding dress for her brother’s wife. She teamed up a stylish tiara, simple jewelry and a bouquet of colorful flowers with the gown. The actress looked pretty in the wedding gown while Abish looked smart in his blue tuxedo and red tie. The wedding ceremony of Actress Archana and Comedian Abish was indeed a simple yet a grand one.
Wedding reception
As the wedding of the couple was a close affair and was attended by the family members and close friends.
Just like the wedding ceremony, the reception ceremony was also a grand celebration. The post-wedding reception of the couple hosted at Bolgatty Palace Resort, Kochi was attended by some popular personalities from the Mollywood industry. Even politicians, industrialists, and much more recognized personalities were present at the reception.
Interestingly, the bride and the groom performed a cute dance number for the guests at the reception ceremony. Both of them were equally rocking in their reception outfits just as in the wedding outfits.
