The wedding story of Soha Ali Khan Pataudi and Kunal Khemu

The Nawabi Gharana princess and the Indian film actress, Soha Ali Khan, tied the knot with her love of her life, Kunal Khemu on January 25, 2015.

Soha and Kunal dated each other for about two years. The way in which the couple met each other and mingled isn’t known to many. The couple worked together in a number of films such as Sparks flew, and Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge and 99. While working together in films couple started their love story in 2009. Soha in an interview opened up about her relationship with Actor Kunal and said she didn’t think that they would be so close when they first met each other on the film set. Kunal proposed to his sweetheart in 2014, in the city of love Paris, to which the blushing Soha said a yes! The two after that moved in together and were in a live-in relationship before they planned to take wedding vows.

As per the couple plans, the wedding was a low-key affair in Mumbai that took place at their own Khar residence. The couple got married in the presence of the registrar and the close family members.

The main early wedding functions included the mehendi ceremony and bachelorette party. Soha’s few close friends threw a grand bachelorette party on the late afternoon of January 22. 

Soha looked stunning in a gold bronze lehenga with a neckline; Soha’s friends presented her with a sash with ‘bride to be’ written over it. Some of the close film industry friends who were a part of the party included the famous actresses Konkona Sen Sharma, Neha Dhupia and Sandhya Mridul.

On the mehendi ceremony, Soha chose to wear a pink and gold ensemble by designer Ritu Kumar with minimal makeup. The guest spotted at the ceremony was Superstar Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Neha Dhupia.

As the wedding was a simple ceremony it took place at the Khar residence in Mumbai. Soha on the wedding day wore off-white Lehenga with orange dupatta and in accessories placed a maang tikka. Groom Kunal chose to wear a white and gold sherwani with beautiful pure silk safa.

Just after the wedding ceremony in the morning, the couple hosted a grand reception. Newlywed Soha and Kunal was the perfect couple on that great day. Soha on her reception chose to wear a hot pink and golden lehenga specially designed by designer Sanjay Garg while on the other hand; Kunal looked dapper in his reception outfit. 

Kunal made sure to match up perfectly with bride’s Soha attire by carrying a pink pocket square. The couple on their special day was blessed by renowned personalities of Bollywood, fashion industry, and cricket.

Actress Sharmila Tagore gifted newlywed a flat in Mumbai as a wedding gift. The flat is located in the Sunder Villa near Linking Road. We wish a great married life for the couple and may they have a Nawabi life forever.
