Tamil small screen actress Kalyani aka Poornitha married a Mumbai-based guy, Rohit on 12th December 2013. Rohit has no connection with the media industry; he is a doctor by profession. The couple was engaged four months back.
Kalyani started her acting career as a child artiste with Prabhudeva starrer Alli Thandha Vaanam and had acted in quite a few movies of Telugu and Malayalam language. The fame came to her with Television serials. The groom Rohit is trauma care specialist in a reputed hospital.
Poornitha and Rohit wedding was an arranged marriage. The engagement happened on 18 August. For the Engagement, Poornitha donned a stone worked rose pink saree from Manmandir.
It was a traditional Malayali wedding at Mahalingapuram Iyappan Temple. The actress clad in a cream- color saree paired with a pink blouse. She got the look accessorized with conventional jewelry, a Goddess Mahalakshmi bridal set with a pair of jhumki, and kasu malai. The priest performed the veil between mantras. As already known Malayali weddings are the simplest, brief yet exuberant celebration of various rituals and customs was a fun.
