The wedding of the actor Shahid with Mira was the most talked-about event of the year. The handsome hunk of Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor got hitched to Delhi-based girl Mira Rajput in an arranged marriage. It is being said that the leader guru of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas suggested families about the possible match and then, later on, families finalized the marriage.
Be it mehendi, sangeet, wedding or reception the couple chose to keep it a low-key affair.
B Town’s Chocolaty boy, Shahid tied the knot in a gurudwara on July 7, at a friend’s farmhouse on the outlying of Delhi. As the wedding ceremony was a close affair it was attended by around 40 guests including close friends and family members.
Mira Rajput and actor Shahid in the pre-wedding ceremony, the haldi, and sangeet held on July 6 wear color-coordinated outfits. Mira glowed in her sangeet in a peach and yellow designer lehenga by Anita Dongre with matching gold jewelry.
Along with nude makeup, the backless choli and garland of yellow jasmines completely floored everyone around.
Shahid’s brick colored kurta, maroon Nehru jacket paired with black churidar went well with the bride’s look. Sasha wore a gelled hairdo and a jasmine gajra on right wrist. He put on black polished shoes to complete the ensemble.
Mira during the haldi was radiant in a yellow georgette kurti and palazzo and bride to be was seen with a beautiful garland of flowers to match a wreath on her head.
Actor Shahid danced to on his sangeet on his favorite hit numbers ‘Mauja Hi Mauja’, ‘Dhan Tenan’,’Saj Dhaj ke Tashan’ along with bride Mira and family members.
For Anand Karaj bride Mira wore simple pink and green churidar suit with a golden embellished dupatta over her head. The only jewelry she carried was a maang tikka. Groom Shahid Kapoor on the other hand, wore a white kurta pajama with an orange turban.
Mira and Shahid in the post wedding rituals, at the grand after-party venue- The Oberoi, Gurgaon wore a color coordinated outfit. Mira wore a rose-hued lehenga by Anamika Khanna and sported a Navratna earrings set and neckpiece, teamed with ‘jhoomar’ and a beautiful ‘maang-tika’. Mira’s lehenga well complimented Shahid’s Kunal Rawal created cream-white sherwani suit.
Newlywed hosted a grand reception in Mumbai on July 12, 2016, for film fraternity from Bollywood. The Venue for the reception hosted by the couple was Palladium hotel. The couple was blessed on the occasion by many famous personalities including Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and friends Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh was seen at the reception.
Shahid’s bride Mira during her reception in Mumbai was looking beautiful in a white blue creation designed by Manish Malhotra while the Shahid was dapper in a three-piece suit specially designed by a close friend and a designer, Kunal Rawal.
The wedding menu of the wedding was strictly pure-vegetarian since both the families are followers of Radha Soami Satsang Beas.
