One
of the popular weddings of the year 2016 is that of Actress Bipasha Basu and
Actor Karan Singh Grover. After meeting on the sets of their film ‘Alone’ the
couple got mingled well with each other and often spotted spending time together.
However, both of them never openly discussed their relationship. Actor Bipasha
Basu and Karan Singh Grover revealed the secret of their relationship with the
announcement of their wedding date.
Actress
Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover tied the knot in a typical traditional
Bengali style in Mumbai on 30th April 2016. Since the wedding was a
private affair, the invitation was given to only close relatives and close
friends.
The
wedding venue entrance was decorated with a variety of flowers, looks simply
beautiful and classy while Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha’s pre-wedding
pictures were being used as wallpapers at the wedding venue.
This
was Karan Singh Grover’s third marriage while it’s the first marriage for
Bipasha Basu, but still, couple was extremely excited on the wedding day.
Bipasha
wore a fuchsia pink saree while Karan donned white chikankari kurta for the
traditional 'briddhi' ceremony. The ceremony is done by bride’s father.
Mumbai’s
villa 69 was decorated in a blend of vintage Persian and Indian style for
mehendi. The sweet fragrant mogra flowers made the surroundings increasingly
pleasant. Dove-eyed Bengali actress looked adorable in pistachio and pink
floral outfit by Anushree Reddy with a flower tiara and jewelry by Ceremonial
Hues. Matching clutch by Princesse K. Karan added stars to her.
The
main event day was 30th April at the country’s tallest hotel St. Regis in Lower Parel, Mumbai. Bride Bipasha Basu picked a scarlet Sabyasachi
Mukherjee heavily embroidered gold and red lehenga saree for her wedding day. Traditional
Bengali mukut and broad mathapatti by Kishandas Jewellery perfectly accessorized the bridal look of her.
Karan
surprised guests with his entry on segway. Clad in pearl white creation of
Shymali Arora the Punjabi munda was not less than Bengali bala.
Both
on her mehendi function and wedding day actress wore jewelry that perfectly complimented
her attire. Bipasha personally handpicked every piece of jewelry that she
carried with her wedding outfits from renowned Jaipur Jewels.
Though
both Bipasha and Karan were color coordinated in their entire wedding
ceremonies. Wedding day for the couple was dream come true.
The
pooja, mehendi, and wedding were followed by a reception.
Just after the wedding, the gorgeous couple
hosted grand reception dinner and some prominent names were spotted including
SRK, Salman Khan, Bachchan’s, Sanjay Dutt with wife Maanyata, Dia mirza, Neha Dhupia,
Madhur Bhandarkar, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Bhushan Kumar. Chunky Pandey, Rohit
Shetty, Malaika Arora Khan, Riteish Deshmukh with wife Genelia, Sunil Grover, Drashti, Ravi
Dubey and Sargun, Preity Zinta, Abhay and Bobby Deol.
Bipasha just like her wedding dress was equally looking beautifully in her reception dress. Her reception jewelry featured a 35 layered necklace and earring set. Her reception jewelry was signature pieces from Jaipur Jewels Sarvrati collection.
