One of the most eligible bachelors in Kollywood was finally taken on July 3rd of 2011. The dashing Kollywood actor who preferred an arranged marriage said that he is happy and satisfied to get married to Ranjani, a gold medalist in English Literature from a leading Chennai college.
While Karthi’s brother got married, his long-time sweetheart, actor Jyotika, the Paruthiveeran star has been clear in the mind of Actor Karthi to opt for a girl chosen by his parents. Though Actor said arrange marriages sound like a scary option, when he first met Ranjani and spoke to her for an hour he was completely convinced that she was the right girl for him.
After the Paruthiveeran, Actor Karthi has given 2 other hits ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ and ‘Paiyaa’. It was rumored that after these two hits Actor Karthi was planning to get married and as he was at the top stage of his career.
It was not a regular Sunday morning in Coimbatore when Karthi tied the knot with Ranjani at about 6:30 a.m. in the morning. It was one of the sparkling star weddings in Coimbatore and was in hype among the people because the venue was grandly decorated a huge security team was allotted.
The best variety of flowers such as orchids, gerberas, carnations, liliums, and roses were being used for the decoration of the venue. The mandap was designed circular especially according to the Actor Karthi’s demand.
On the day of his wedding Actor, Karthi wore a white silk vesthi and his bride Ranjani was dressed in an orangish-yellow color. The entire jewelry of the bride from the necklace, haram, waist belt and paatiabottu was of gold. She was also wearing a wristband and bangles were of again gold. Even the braid accessory of the bride was of gold and her hair was tied up into a beautiful bun. The makeup of the bride was simple. Both the bride and groom wore garlands made of rose, golden flowers, lotuses, carnations, and orchids.
The Actor Karthi treated his about 4,000 fans with special lunch on the occasion of his wedding day. Among the stars that were present on the stage were Actor Rajesh, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Nanda, Prabhu and his wife, yesteryear music director Shankar Ganesh and director Bala and K.S. Ravikumar and R.V Udhayakumar were there too.
Both the Actor Karthi and Ranjani were blessed on their special day by many popular personalities from the film industry as well as famous politicians and industrialists that were present on the wedding day. It was Actor’s wish to get married in a traditional way in the front of family and friends.

their outfits too. While the lady wore beautifully ornamented saree in a
pastel shade, the groom perfected the look in the gray suit with black shirt
providing the excellent contrast on their reception.
