The famous media mogul T. Venkattram was in news in South India recently for the grand wedding of his doting daughter Gayatri Reddy. Venkattram is a top-notch newspaper baron and chairman of the famous Deccan Chronicle.
Gayatri herself has been the leading face of Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League, spearheaded by DC. Hyderabad resident Gayatri Reddy tied the knot with her long time beau Aneesh Bhatia which is yet another exciting pair of Southern intelligence and Punjabi charm.
Gayatri is an Honors degree holder in construction management from the University College of London and later joined Deccan Chronicle as features editor. She interviewed celebrities too.
The groom is a Delhi based business person who belongs to the top notch family that is a shareholder in Air Asia and is also quite popular in the real estate business. Aneesh Bhatia is the younger son of Arun Bhatia who is also the owner of Hindustan Aerosystems. Much to the surprise, the groom’s elder brother Amit is married to steel baron Lakshmi Mittal’s daughter Vanisha that explains the big tie-ups of the family with powerful families of the country.
The elaborate wedding ceremony continued for five days. The beginning celebrations of the wedding were marked with a lavish dinner at a palatial hotel in Hyderabad where several rounds of toasts were raised for the beautiful couple. This was accompanied by a vibrant mehendi and sangeet ceremony on February 15 at the bride’s residence, where the couple looked ethereal and the elders were spotted dancing to famous Bollywood numbers. Aneesh’s parents thoroughly enjoyed performing to a popular romantic song from 1942- A Love Story, ‘Ek Ladki ko Dekha To’ and were equally adored by onlookers.
The wedding took place on February 17 at Park Hyatt I Hyderabad that is co-owned by T. Subbarami Reddy, Venkatram Reddy’s uncle.

Gayatri was seen donning a beautiful silk saree in the full South Indian style while the groom looked dashing in a turban and sherwani, showcasing complete North Indian ethnic style. The wedding celebration was preceded by a small and private engagement ceremony hosted by the couple’s parents in Sri Lanka and was attended only by the near and dear ones.
Gayatri Reddy was engaged to Aneesh Bhatia in December 2015. Media was kept away from the extravagant celebration of their life.
