Mahesh Babu aka the Prince of Tollywood has a very successful career. He started very young as an actor and is known for his amazing performances. He is also known for his clean boy image. Though he was voted as the most desirable man in India and had lots of girls drooling over him, he had his eyes only for his all time sweetheart Namrata Shirodkar.

Mahesh met his beau on the sets of his third movie Vamsi. The two for the first time met at the Muhurat of the movie Vamsi. Though it was love at first sight, they did not express their feelings for each other immediately. By the end of the movie, the two became a popular couple and were dating each other by that time.
The couple kept their relationship under the cover and only in 2004 did they decide to get married. Mahesh’s parents were not much happy with the news but on his sister, Manjula’s involvement did the wedding take place.
Their wedding was fixed in the early months of 2005. Since Mahesh wanted his wife to be the traditional homemaker Namrata wrap up her films and work. The wedding was scheduled to take place on February 10, 2005. Namrata was held up until the week of her wedding ceremony. It was low key private family affair. The night before the wedding Mahesh was wrapping up his movie shoot and then immediately traveled to Mumbai for his wedding ceremony.
It was a very closed affair which took place among nearest family and friends. Pandits from Tirupathi were present to perform the rituals. Efforts were made to translate the rituals in Hindi to Namrata and her family members.
The bride and the groom were seen in traditional Telugu bridal trousseau. The bride Namrata was seen in a white silk saree with the green border. She accessorized her bridal outfit with luxe jewelry and green bangles which are a significant part of the Telugu weddings. The groom looked stunning as usual in a white silk kurta and dhoti with a silk white dupatta draped over his head.
