Indian weddings are usually fun filled glamorously held events. Weddings keep happening all over the year, but Celebrity weddings hold great charm among fans. By the time we get ourselves out do drooling over one wedding the next one pops up.
Singer Akriti Kakar who is quite famous for her song “Saturday Saturday” from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and “Iski Uski” from 2 States is a female playback singer who has many hit songs to her credit. She has been dating her boyfriend Chirag, an Ad-filmmaker based out of Mumbai for quiet someone before taking the plunge.
The couple had a big fat traditional Punjabi wedding in Delhi. It was a huge wedding ceremony with six celebrations back to back; involving Sagan, Engagement, Sangeet to the mehendi, wedding and reception.
She looked like a princess out of fairy tale on her wedding day. The whole wedding was indeed like a fable. It was perfectly designed and consequently, it turned out excellent and well thought-out without flaw.
The engagement and the Sagan was a beautiful affair which took place among close family and friends. The bride was seen wearing a beautiful yellow and pink flowing Anarkali while the groom looked dapper in a black and gold sherwani.
The couple exchanged rings in front of the guests and showed it off proudly.
The mehendi and the sangeet was a structured pool party. It was attended by close family and friends of the couple. The bride was seen wearing a pastel green and pink lehenga. She had mehendi artists who decorated her hands with beautiful intricate designs while the guests enjoyed the day. Akriti posed along with the bridesmaid while getting her mehendi done for the lensman.
She happily showed her mehendi off to everyone.
The groom entered the venue donning a color coordinated sherwani. The couple danced and had fun all throughout their mehendi.
The wedding and the reception took place on 5th March 2016. With Bollywood celebrities getting married every year, it looks like the wedding season never gets over. This wedding was also one such elegant event.
The bride looked dazzling in her gold and red lehenga while the groom complimented her in a gold sherwani.
They both looked the gorgeous couple. The wedding ritual took place as per Punjabi Hindu traditions.
Family and friends from the film and music industry were a part of the huge wedding ceremony. The couple took their pheras.
The reception took place immediately after the wedding ceremony. Akriti’s friends Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, Meiyang Chang and Amaal Malik from the music industry had a gala time at their wedding.
The most amazing part of the whole event was the couple and their friends jamming on stage at their wedding reception. It was such a fun and memorable event.
