Weddings are a total grand affair in India. Hyderabadi weddings ooze out glitz and glamour in all aspects. One such wedding was that of Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy’s daughter to Prabhu Thej.
Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy is a leading politician in Andhra Pradesh. His elder daughter Varsha Reddy got hitched to kollywood’s makeup artist Kolli Ramu’s son Prabhu Thej.
Since both the bride and groom hail from political and Kollywood families, the whole event was very grand and glamorous. Leading politicians, actors, directors and businessmen were all part of the wedding celebration, thus making it a very grand affair.
The engagement took place on May 2016 at Hyderabad. An Engagement ceremony is the first ritual in most weddings and as predicted it was a very grand affair. It was hosted by the bride's family.
The bride, Varsha was initially seen in a pretty pink Jayanti Reddy label half saree for the pre-nuptials. For the engagement ceremony, she changed into a parrot green and pink silk kanjeevaram saree decked with glittering diamond jewelry. The groom looked stunning in a bright blue suit. They got engaged as per Hindu tradition and exchanged rings in presence of family and friends. The wedding ceremony date was fixed as per Hindu customs.
The wedding ceremony took place on 4 August in Hyderabad. And it was a star-studded affair. Kollywood artists, politicians and businessmen were all there to bless and congratulate the couple.
The entire decor was splendid and was gracefully done with traditional and exclusive flowers.
The bride was seen wearing a gold and pink kanjeevaram silk saree with a heavily worked elbow length sleeved pink blouse. She accessorized her look with traditional diamond jewelry. The groom also went the traditional route wearing a white silk dhoti and shirt. The wedding ceremony went on as per Telugu Hindu traditions and customs. Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, Nassar, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ali, and Rajasekhar were all part of the guest list. Prabhu Thej’s friend, Bahubali actor Prabhas was spotted in the wedding too.
The wedding reception took place on the next evening in an exclusive manner. Who’s who of the Telugu film fraternity and politics were part of the guest list of the event.
The stage and the decor were set in dim lights with a white backdrop made out with beautiful flowers. The stage looked very enchanting with the bride and the groom in the middle looking their best.
For the reception, the bride decided to enchant in western look. She was seen wearing a bright red gown. To accessorized her attire bountiful sparklers in diamond jewelry were given the given the credit. The groom complimented her in a black suit. They received the guests on stage. Everyone was well hosted by both the families. Family and friends were all part of the celebration; they blessed and congratulated the couple.
