Brilliant singer, the youth icon, Arijit Singh married his childhood lady love Koel Roy on 20th January 2014 at Trapith temple in West Bengal. The hush-hush wedding was a traditional Bengali ceremony.
The half-Bengali singer got hitched twice. This was his second marriage. Earlier, Arijit married his co-contestant, Ruprekha Bannerji from Fame Gurukul. The decision made in haste turned out to be short-lived and eventually ended in divorce.

Unlike the celebrity show-sha, true to the Arijit’s timid nature the wedding was a private affair. The couple tied the knot before Goddess Kali, families, and close ones. Stress was laid on traditionalism which reminded everyone of Aishwarya and Dhanush wedding. Out of the handful of attendees, the only man from the music industry who supervised the Bengali ceremony was Pritam.
He is a media-shy guy, thus, kept the media away from the wedding.
Arijit’s soulful voice has mesmerized since he appeared on TV shows and has garnered applause for his hit numbers in Bollywood and Tollywood. He banged Hindi Film audience hearts with ‘Tum Hi Ho’, ‘Samjhawa’, ‘Mast Magan’, and ‘Muskurane’.
Koel Roy also married the second time. She had a four-year old daughter at the time of the wedding.
