Daughter of Ramesh, the whistleblower Megha got
married to Congress MLA Adoor Prakash's son Ajay Krishnan last year was yet
another big fat Kerala wedding.
The wedding ceremony was in the limelight due to
the massive replicas of Akshardham Temple and Mysore Palace-like structure
created for the function, in an eight-acre venue at Thiruvananthapuram.
The whole wedding event was magnificent. Though
many politicians were a part of the event, prominent leaders including Kerala
chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and former chief minister Oommen Chandy, stayed
away from the wedding function of controversial liquor baron Biju Ramesh’s
daughter.
The bride was seen wearing a green and red silk
kanjeevaram saree with gold jewelry while the groom looked dapper in a gold and
white sherwani with vest coat. The couple along with their families posed
proudly for the cameras. The wedding took place as per Kerala Hindu traditions.
Many cultural events were organized for the guests. The guests were treated to
a huge Royal feast.
Though the function had around 20,000 guests,
prominent faces were less. Union minister Vayalar Ravi, PJ Kurien, former
Kerala Assembly Speaker N Sakthan, former Kerala Minister Aryadan Mohammed,
Tamil Nadu Minister S P Velumani and former ISRO chairman G Madhavan Nair were
some of the faces present.
