Indian celebrity weddings are known for its glitz and glamour. It’s a time to celebrate Olympic medallist Geeta Phogat and her family.
Geeta phogat, eldest of the two wrestler sisters got married to Pawan Kumar on November 20, 2016. It was a beautiful Sunday when the couple tied the knot in the quaint town, Balali of Charkhi Dadri in Haryana. Pawan Kumar is a Delhi-based wrestler.
The wedding ceremony took place later in the evening which was attended by the big shots of Haryana's sporting and political worlds.
For the wedding, the bride was seen in a beautiful red lehenga gifted by her maternal uncle and the groom donned a gold sherwani to compliment the bride.
Wedding season is a time filled with fun, entertainment, and shopping. All the Phogat sisters were dressed beautifully.
The starry affair was attended by politicians, sportsmen, family, and friends.
Amir Khan attended the wedding and was seen in the Phogat house hours before the wedding ceremony. Over 150 policemen from Bhiwani and 50 private security guards were called to manage the horde of people at the phogat house to see Aamir Khan.
Actors Sakshi Tanwar, Sanya Malhotra, Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari, an entire crew of the film were also part of the event. Sakshi Malik, Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar, Haryana Assembly's opposition leader Abhay Singh Chautala, Paralympian Som Kumar, president of the Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, and many other prominent faces were spotted at the event.
