Shawar Ali, a model turned actor famous for his supporting roles in Om Shanti Om and Bbuddah.. Hoga Tera Baap got married to his longtime girlfriend Marsela Ayesha, a model in a traditional Muslim style wedding on 29 March 2015.
Shawar is also known for his negative villain roles in Telugu. The two had been dating for 2 years.
The traditional Nikkah ceremony was a simple private affair attended by very close family and friends at the groom’s close friend, model and actor Zulfi Syed’s house.
The vows were exchanged between them in front of a Maulana (Muslim priest).
The bride was seen donning a beautiful and elegant long half white Anarkali while the groom wore a black sherwani. The reason for such low key Nikkah as quoted by the actor was “Actually there has been a death in my family and so I am not keeping the celebrations too loud”.
Due to this a traditional wedding ceremony took place in Bhopal, their hometown after 20 days. A star studded event with all the big names in the modeling industry and Bollywood fraternity was later organized in Mumbai.
