Gayatri Asokan a well known Malayalam playback singer who made a mark for herself in the movie Arayannangalude Veedu got married to her Bengali boyfriend Purbayan Chatterjee, a sitar artist, and music composer. The two have performed many songs together and have caught the hearts of the people and mesmerized them.
Friends and family were present at the event held at Thrissur.
The wedding took place as per Malayalam Hindu tradition. Though the groom is from Bengal he got married in Thrissur for his darling bride Gayatri. The event took place at Paramekkavu Temple in Thrissur.
