The news in early 2013 that Meera Jasmine was getting married in February 2014 was going around. It was later known that it was an arranged marriage. While Meera’s parents were on the hunt for a groom they found Anil’s profile on a matrimonial site. Anil John Titus, a Dubai based software engineer from Kerala is the son of Titus and Sugathakumari, residents of Nandavanam, Trivandrum. After taking Meera’s consent, her parents went ahead with the proposal and started planning her wedding.
The wedding registration took place earlier on February 9, 2014. The registration formalities were held at her house in Kadavanthra, Ernakulam as per special marriage act for which only close family and friends were present.
The wedding took place on Wednesday, 12 February 2014 at the LMS Church in Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram amongst close family and friends as per Christian tradition.

Wedding under Cops fortification
High Police protection was given to the wedding. Being a celebrity wedding police protection is quite expected, but the heavy duty security raised brows. As per reports is to be believed an estranged family had threatened Anil to break off the wedding. The reason stated was that he was earlier engaged to this women and Anil had later broken off the engagement due to Meera’s proposal. The girl's family members had gone to Meera’s house on January 23 and had threatened to disrupt the wedding.
The wedding reception held at Edapazhanji RD Auditorium was a star-studded affair. The bride was seen in a beautiful pink silk saree while the groom opted for a half white suit. They posed for pictures and looked happy next to each other.
