Olympic
bronze medalist boxer Vijender Singh is a heartthrob as like his punches. He
got hitched to a Delhi-based software engineer girl Archana on May 17, 2011. The news
came out breaking hearts of his female fans.
Archana is
working with British High Commission. She is the daughter of Congress activist,
Surinder Singh from Muzaffarnagar. Vijender and Archna were friends for a long
time and the liking graduated into love. After getting approval from parents
they got engaged on May 16 at Kulawas village in Bhiwani.
The two entered wedlock in a
close knit ceremony at Flying Club in Delhi and was followed by a lavish
reception next day at Kulawas which is Vijender’s home town. The rituals
started in the noon, around 1.15 P.M. The power packed athlete dressed in
Manish Gangwani designed cream and gold Sherwani with cream churidar, while the
bride dazzled in designer red saree by Tarun Tahiliani.
